Dell Curry’s Hilarious Comment To Baby Stephen Curry After He Missed A Few Shots: “You’re Shooting Bricks, Man.”

Stephen Curry is an undisputed great in the NBA, someone that has forever changed the way the game of basketball is played at the highest level. His skill set is as unique as anyone’s in the history of the league; the handles and the touch are marvelous to witness. But what truly sets him apart is his shooting, the unlimited range that Curry has displayed in his career has children today shooting from 40 feet away.

But what a lot of people seem to forget is that Curry got as good as he is by endlessly practicing essentially since he could walk. Even as a very young child, Steph was shooting hoops at home on a small basket. And while we may now be used to watching Curry sink endless three-pointers, especially in practice, even the Chef wasn’t an elite shooter as a baby.

A clip from an old interview with Dell and Sonja Curry recently went viral on Instagram, with Dell talking about baby Steph, who was present for the interview. The clip was followed by a wholesome scene where he is trying to make shots on a small hoop, and his Dell is making hilarious comments about him.

Narrator: “Young Stephen may not know it now, basketball may be his future.”

Dell Curry: “Well, we started him out in Reeboks, he’s in the right shoewear. We got a couple balls floating around, he laughs a lot when I bounce them around so hopefully he’ll pursue it too.”

Stephen Curry: *tries to shoot the ball and misses*

Dell Curry: “Come on, man, you gotta make the first shot. You’re shooting bricks, man.”

It’s safe to say that Curry didn’t end up shooting bricks for too long; he only went and became the greatest shooter in the history of the league. He recently posted photos of him with his dad and then with his son, Canon, so it’s not hard to believe that the 3rd generation of the Currys might also produce another sharpshooter.
