When DeMar DeRozan was signed by the Chicago Bulls in the offseason, many people criticized the move. However, DeMar DeRozan has shown that the haters were absolutely wrong. He is having one of the best if not the best seasons of his career. Currently, DeMar DeRozan is averaging 27.4 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 5.1 APG, while shooting a career-high 34.4% from beyond the arc.

After the recent Chicago Bulls game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, DeMar DeRozan achieved a feat that hasn’t been done by anyone in Bulls history except Michael Jordan. DeMar DeRozan had 4 straight games with 35 points or more, which has last been done by Michael Jordan in 1996.

There’s no doubt that this is an amazing achievement for the veteran wing. DeMar DeRozan has often been criticized for coming up short in the playoffs during his Toronto Raptors days. However, he is having a fantastic season for the Chicago Bulls, and hopefully, this means that he will perform well in the postseason.

The Chicago Bulls are currently the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference, and DeMar DeRozan played a huge role in getting them there. They’re definitely a contender for the 2021-22 NBA championship. Though many may not have them as the favorite to win this year’s ring, they’re a well-rounded squad who can make things tough for teams in the playoffs. Their offense is obviously stellar, and once their defenders like Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso return, they’ll also be good on the defensive end.

Zach LaVine recently called the Chicago Bulls the best team in the Eastern Conference, and there’s no question that they’re one of the most talented teams in the East. However, there are definitely other teams that are contenders that can match their firepower, and we’ll have to wait and see who comes out on top in the postseason.
