Derrick Rose’s journey in the NBA has been anything but easy. During the early days of his career, D-Rose quickly became a fan favorite with his explosive playing style. So much so that he became the youngest MVP in the history of the MVP by winning the award when he was just 22 years old.
It looked certain that Rose was destined for success in the league. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. The reason behind Rose’s career going downhill was a plethora of serious injuries.
The injuries forced Rose to change his game, and his nuclear athleticism disappeared. Despite being on the verge of getting out of the league, Rose found a way and added more weapons to his arsenal.
He never lost hope and carved a path for his return to the league. During all those tough times, Rose stayed strong and humble. As a result, when the former NBA MVP has any advice for someone, they tend to listen to it with utmost concentration.
Rose was recently seen sharing his two cents with a young team in Chicago. He gave some valuable advice to the kids about how to stay confident when they are tested under a lot of pressure.
“All that celebrating… When y’all have a tough game remember that. It’s gonna get y’all through them games. Get y’all through the playoffs, get to the championship.”
It’s great to see Rose share this advice with the future of basketball. After all, in the coming years, some of these kids will probably play in the NBA.
When they do achieve their goal, that’s when the piece of advice that Rose shared with them will help them to succeed in the NBA and ultimately help them in their pursuit of winning NBA Championships.
