The Suns-Mavericks series hasn’t gone as planned for the number one seeded Phoenix Suns. A sweep looked on the cards after Games 1 & 2, but the Mavericks have responded in some fashion to take this series to a winner-take-all Game 7.

The pressure is now entirely on the home team, as they look to avoid an embarrassing exit in the second round. This iteration of the Suns hasn’t played a Game 7 either, while Dallas did go the distance with the Clippers last season before ultimately losing. If the Suns’ contingent is to be believed, however, they seem to be coping with that additional pressure pretty well.

An article on ESPN revealed the words of Jae Crowder who plans to get his nails done and watch some shows, while coach Monty Williams couldn’t hide his anticipation for the game:

“You can feel it,” Williams said. “From the time when we knew we were going to be in a Game 7 until now, the gym is thick with intensity. And that’s how playoff basketball should be.”

“I’m going to go get my nails done right now. Pamper myself a little bit. Get my feet done,” said Crowder. “I just try to check my boxes. Just make sure where my body needs to be, look into the game plan, the adjustments that we’re making. Check those boxes off. Watch the second half of the last game. And from that point on, I’ll be ready to go.”

Star shooting guard Devin Booker has his own way of de-stressing, saying that he’d be playing the video game “Call Of Duty”, and adding that he might end up going to the pool. Some people believe that he is an MVP-level player, and Devin Booker will certainly need to show up for the Suns to win.

“It’s a hot day today. I might get in the pool,” Booker said.

It won’t be long before the Suns will all be diving into their most important game of the season. It has been a record-breaking year in the desert where they set a new franchise record for wins in the regular season and a defeat in Game 7 would be nearly catastrophic.

The Suns will be hoping that this game follows the pattern of this series so far, where the home side has looked dominant in all six games. They battled hard all season to ensure that home court would be theirs if it ever came to this point, and now they need to take advantage of it.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
