The Brooklyn Nets put on what could be considered the worst team performance in a series in the playoffs so far, as they let the Celtics complete a sweep last night. The Nets, who many believed could have upset the Celtics thanks to the talent they have, were dominated by the best defensive team in the NBA. Many people have been making fun of the Nets, but Draymond Green had to deny doing so last night.

Last night, while the Nets-Celtics game was going on, Draymond Green put out a cryptic Tweet with several laughing and eyes-sideways emojis. Many fans believed he was laughing at his former teammate Kevin Durant, and the Nets for getting swept in such embarrassing fashion. But Green caught wind of those rumors, and put an end to them quickly, noting that he would be more blatant with it if he was doing so.

Y’all thought I was laughing at the nets getting swept? I’m a little more blatant than that. Y’all can at least give me credit for that

It’s unlikely that Green was taking a dig at the Nets, especially considering that he and Kevin Durant put their beef behind them quite some time ago. Any time Green has spoken about KD and the Nets, it has been in a positive light. But just because he wasn’t laughing at the Nets doesn’t mean that Green won’t be relieved that the Nets have been eliminated, as they could have posed a threat to their championship aspirations.

The Warriors were hoping to complete their own sweep against the Nuggets this weekend, but that never came to fruition. Green and the Warriors will now be fully focused on closing out the series at home, as giving the Nuggets a window to come back would be really dangerous for them.
