Draymond Green is regarded as one of the smartest players of the modern era, but he definitely doesn’t act level-headed and calm while competing on the court.
During the Warriors’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Draymond picked up his 16th technical foul of the season by throwing a ball at Russell Westbrook. This means Draymond will be suspended for the Warriors’ game against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.

Given the Warriors’ struggles this season, missing Green for even one game may be a huge blow to the squad. It’s an away game as well, meaning the Warriors will have the deck significantly stacked against them when they face Trae Young and company in Atlanta.
The Warriors are trailing the Clippers by 6 points at the end of the third quarter in this contest.
Draymond Green Facing Technical Difficulties
Green is the league leader in technical fouls, tied with his bitter rival, Dillon Brooks. Luka Doncic isn’t far behind the two, sitting on 15 technical fouls and in danger of facing the same suspension Green is about to serve, and Brooks served earlier this month.
Green is very animated on the court and has a penchant for arguing with referees. Steve Kerr openly hoped that Green wouldn’t receive another tech this season, knowing the struggles that the team has faced this season.
Steve Kerr last week: “I’ve never said one word to Draymond, and he’s never gone over the limit. He always comes right up to the edge and then he stops. He knows how valuable he is, I don’t have to say anything to him. He knows that he can’t get that next one; we need him.” https://t.co/OrRiL0EgEh

With this season possibly being Draymond’s final contracted year in Golden State, he will hope to do the most he can to ensure he receives a good extension from the Warriors or a lucrative new contract from a team hoping to lure him away. His low production and on-court tantrums aren’t helping his case.
