The stakes are as high as they can get in the NBA Finals. After months of hard work, only two teams are left with a shot at winning the NBA Championship. For this season, those teams are the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics.

So far two games have been played in the best-of-seven series. Right now, both teams have won one game each, and the series is tied. Speaking of Game 2 of the series, the Dubs made a stunning comeback in the series and never allowed the Celtics to have even a slight chance at winning the game.

But things could have gone downhill during the second quarter of the fixture. Towards the end of the quarter, Warriors’ Draymond Green fouled Jaylen Brown on a three-point attempt.

The two superstars got into a heated exchange, which almost resulted in both the players getting a technical foul. If that had happened, it would have been disastrous for the Warriors since Green had already picked up a technical foul in the first quarter of the game.

After the game was over both players talked about that altercation. While Brown was quite confused about it since he claimed that Green tried to pull down his pants, Draymond on the other hand talked about how he has gotten used to the deferential treatment from referees.

“This is the NBA Finals. I wear my badge of honor. It’s not that I’m saying they necessarily treat me different. I’ve earned differential treatment. I enjoy that; I embrace that. But I’m never going to let someone stand over me. I’m a man first. My kids are in the stands. I don’t play like those types of games. Whatever happens at that point happens.”

Green has been quite vocal about the deferential treatment that he has received from the refs earlier as well.

Regardless of that, Green always plays every game with as much intensity as possible and tries his level best to help the Warriors win games. He succeeded in doing so in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, albeit almost at the cost of getting ejected before halftime.
