Dwight Howard went to Taiwan to continue his playing career, and that decision keeps paying off for the former Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers veteran. The center couldn’t get a new opportunity in the NBA and decided to try his luck overseas, finding a good chance to showcase his talents in the T1 League.

As soon as he landed, Howard became a show, going off in his first game and putting up a clinic against his rivals. However, he also starred in a controversial moment when he clashed with another former NBA player, which earned him a lot of criticism, including from Shaquille O’Neal.

Nevertheless, things appear to be going well for Howard, who has been selected for the first T1 League’s All-Star Game, set to be played next February 28. Howard has enjoyed his tenure in Taiwan, and he appears to be ready to live even more fun stuff while he’s there.

Dwight Howard Keeps Collecting Accolades In Taiwan

Eric Chang of Taiwan News reports that the All-Star Game will be played at the Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium, with two teams battling it out to get the win: Team Infinity and Team Beyond.

Howard, who plays for the Taoyuan Leopards, received the most fan votes with 46,968 and will lead Team Infinity. New Taipei’s CTBC DEA small forward Mohammed al Bachir Gadiaga received the second most votes at 44,266 and will be the captain for Team Beyond.

The two teams will have these starting lineups:

Team Infinity: Chiang Yu-an, Lee Chi-wei , Ku Mao Wei-chia, Mindaugas Kupsas, Dwight Howard

Team Beyond: Mohammed al Bachir Gadiaga, Lin Wei-han, Hsieh Ya-hsuan, Jason Brickman, Robert Upshaw III

It’s good to see Howard having a great time in Taiwan, especially after his failed attempts to get a new chance in the association. He recently threw shade at the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James for not letting him shoot the ball, and in this league, he will be a participant in the 3-point contest. Life has drastically changed for the future Hall of Famer, and he can’t be happier about it.
