Kevin Durant finally made his debut for the Phoenix Suns in a win against the Charlotte Hornets after a shocking trade before the trade deadline.

Suns’ fans reacted to Kevin Durant scoring 23 points and easily beating the Hornets 105-91 to strengthen their position in the Western Conference.

Rob Perez pointed out the offensive versatility the roster now has, “some of these basic Suns sets tonight have gone to shit and they just stand there looking at each other for answers until they realize “oh we have Kevin Durant” then it’s 2 points. must be nice.”

A Suns reporter was optimistic about the offensive production from the team against Charlotte, “Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Deandre Ayton really combined for 76 points on 63% shooting. I know it was only the Hornets, but that’s a pretty damn good start.”

A Houston Rockets fan was scared about what the future holds after seeing this team in action, “Yeah I’m hating. I don’t like this at all. Devin Booker to Kevin Durant? Too good.”

A Suns fan shared the iconic highlight clip of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant to compare them to KD and Devin Booker, “Devin Booker and Kevin Durant in their debut together.”

Another reporter emphasized how KD has made Booker even more dangerous, “Pretty good embodiment of how much pressure Kevin Durant takes off his teammates when Devin Booker had 37-6-7 tonight and it will hardly be talked about.”

Another Suns fan shared a clip of Joaquin Phoenix from The Joker and expressed his happiness, “I laugh like this every time Kevin Durant makes a shot.”

Skip Bayless also hailed KD’s successful return, “In his return from injury, Kevin Durant looked a whole lot like KEVIN DURANT.”

Even though the opponents were just the Hornets, who saw LaMelo Ball get ruled out for the season this week, this was a very good effort from the Suns. They look connected already and could be title favorites.

All Eyes On Phoenix

In a Western Conference where the only contender seems to be the Denver Nuggets, the Phoenix Suns have a realistic shot of contending from this season onward. This would be a nightmare playoff matchup for any team currently in the playoff race.

With Durant, the expectation is championship or bust every season. He knows that and will do his best to deliver on that championship. Even more than Brooklyn, not winning a title on the Suns might cause a massive hit to his legacy in the sport. They have 3 and a half seasons of KD under contract to make sure that Phoenix gets its first Larry O’Brien trophy in history.
