Giannis Antetokounmpo: ‘I Heard Shakira And JLo Are Not Performing Because It’s The Weekend… They Don’t Work On Sunday?’

2 Min Read

Giannis Antetokounmpo has proven to be one of the funniest players in the NBA and whenever he has the chance, the Greek player pulls out a joke so bad that ends up being good in the eyes of many. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar, as the rest of America and the world, was watching the Super Bowl LV.

Canadian artist The Weeknd performed in the halftime show, one of the most attractive parts of this game for casual and non-NFL fans. The show was good but a lot of people were remembering the one they had last year, with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez performing and enchanting everybody around the world. Well, Giannis had the same thought and he delivered a big joke involving the three artists.

“I heard Shakira and JLo are not performing because it’s The Weekend…they don’t work on Sunday?” Giannis wrote on Twitter, demonstrating his talent for comedy.

Of course, fans reacted to that; some laughing at it and others just showing their disappointment with the player.

The truth is that as a comedian, Giannis is a great basketball player. Still, he’s a father now and this type of jokes will be very common for him in the future. We hope the quality stays or improve for the Greek Freak.

In the end, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 31-9, capturing the championship while Giannis captured some laughs with his joke.
