Giannis Antetokounmpo On The Bucks’ Future: “Hopefully, We Can Learn From This And Get Better As A Team … Come Back And Hopefully Build A Culture In Milwaukee For Many Years That We Can Come Out Here And Compete Every Single Year For A Championship.”

The Miami Heat have finished the job and eliminated the Milwaukee Bucks from playoffs contention on Tuesday night in a hard-fought game. The Bucks didn’t have Giannis Antetokounmpo and still made things hard for the Heat, but Erik Spoelstra and his team knew how to respond and beat the Bucks to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

After the 103-94 victory, the Heat have clinched a spot in the ECF for the first time since 2014, but that’s not the biggest news of the night.

In fact, all eyes are now on Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek player has been linked with several teams in recent months and some people believed getting eliminated in the second round would be the end for Giannis in Milwaukee. Well, the player has played down those rumors with his last interview in the bubble, where he explained what he expects from Milwaukee next season and the ones after that.

“Hopefully, we can learn from this and get better as a team … come back and hopefully build a culture in Milwaukee for many years that we can come out here and compete every single year for a championship,” he said, via Tim Bontemps of ESPN.

The Toronto Raptors, Golden State Warriors and even the Miami Heat appear to be the strongest candidates to acquire Giannis’ services if he decided to leave the Bucks. Well, now that looks very unlikely but the NBA has known how to surprise the world time and time again. This won’t be the first time we see a player committing to a team and then leaving it without any notice.
