“I Want Someone To Be Obsessed With Me Like Skip Bayless Is With LeBron”, WNBA Player Roasts Skip Bayless For His Obsession With LeBron James

2 Min Read

Skip Bayless has been a fixture on sports talk shows for over a decade, and the man shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. Bayless is in many ways blamed for the hot-take culture that exists in sports television now, as his rise to fame by that means has led to many others following suit.

He has gained a lot of notoriety over the years by hating on LeBron James, in particular, and he was back at it again after LeBron’s great showing in the Drew League, as Bayless was critical of his shooting. That got a reaction out of NBA Twitter and WNBA player Lexie Brown as well.

Brown, who is currently having a breakout season with the LA Sparks, roasted Bayless for his obsession with LeBron by joking that she wished someone was this obsessed with her. Fortunately for her, the likes of Bayless aren’t ever going to come after her, as she isn’t a polarizing athlete like James. Skip has capitalized on that by portraying himself as LeBron’s biggest critic, and that has accelerated his rise in the media world. He is not going to stop anytime soon with these crazy takes of his, and it’s a credit to James that he has never bothered to acknowledge Skip.

Draymond Green did call him out last month for attaching his name to LeBron for all these years, and the two have been engaging in some back and forths this offseason. If anyone thinks Bayless will somewhat fade away once the King hangs up his boots, then they are mistaken. He has already come out as a big critic of Luka Doncic and is building his reputation as the biggest Luka hater in the media. That’ll ensure he stays around for as long as he wants, as people will tune in to see what other outlandish takes come out of his mouth. It is what it is at this point.
