Jamal Murray wasn’t happy with Chris Paul committing an unnecessary hard foul on him during Game 1 of the Denver Nuggets vs. Phoenix Suns series.

The Nuggets’ point guard touched on this after the game, calling out Chris Paul for doing what he did. He made it clear he won’t start anything with the veteran player but reminded reporters he has a record of acting this way.

“I’m not here to start nothing. I’m just trying to play a game. If he does that, he does it. Y’all can judge it by itself or look at his history.”

Murray had some sort of a diplomatic response, but the hidden message there was that Paul is used to committing these types of fouls, and he wasn’t surprised by it.

Frustration probably got the best of Paul and prompted him to body-check Murray, who was driving alone to the basket.

Jamal started the playoffs on a high note, posting good games against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round. However, as the second round started, he took it to the next level and demolished the Suns.

Jamal Murray Absolutely Destroyed Phoenix Suns In Game 1

The Nuggets had big performances from Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr., as well as Nikola Jokic, but Murray stole the show with his performance, dropping 34 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing 9 assists to lead the Nuggets to a 125-107 win over a dangerous rival.

Many fans praised Murray for this performance, making it clear he’s back and ready to beat whoever gets in the way to the NBA championship. Murray stated that this is his real version, and now that he’s healthy, he’s playing his best basketball again.

After many people thought he was a bubble fluke, Murray proved them wrong, putting up a good performance that confirmed he’s back. The Nuggets looked unstoppable on Saturday night, and if they keep this level, things could get a lot better for them.
