Jason Kidd Believes Kristaps Porzingis Is A “Perfect Fit” With Luka Doncic

1 Min Read

There is no question that Kristaps Porzingis has been criticized by many after his performance against the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round. Porzingis averaged 13.1 PPG and 5.4 RPG during the series. Those numbers were a drastic decrease compared to what we’ve seen from Porzingis in the regular season.

While Porzingis may have had a bad series, that doesn’t mean that he won’t be able to improve from his experience. The fit between Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis has always been questioned, and with Porzingis’ performances in the playoffs, the trade talk has intensified. However new head coach Jason Kidd believes the fit between Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis is “perfect”.

An offseason could potentially do wonders for Kristaps Porzingis. When Porzingis is healthy, he is generally a sharpshooting big man who can also offer some rim protection on the other end. The summer could potentially allow him to hone his craft, and come back healthy to compete alongside Luka Doncic. On paper, the abilities of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis should work well together. Perhaps Jason Kidd will be the head coach to unlock the potential of the duo.
