The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted us all immensely, and it still rages on around us today. While there have definitely been great efforts put in to stem the virus from further spreading, it’s clear that it will still take some time for the world to get through this.

There’s no question that COVID-19 has affected the NBA world too. We witnessed teams competing for the playoffs go in the bubble during the 2019-20 season, and there are also some NBA players that have tested positive for COVID-19 over the course of the pandemic.

It seems as though the latest player to test positive for COVID-19 is Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown. Jay King of The Athletic revealed that the star is in quarantine after contracting the virus.

Jaylen Brown tested positive for COVID-19 today, per the Celtics. He is asymptomatic and quarantining, the team announced.

Hopefully, Jaylen Brown is out for too long with the virus, and it’s certainly unfortunate that he caught it. It seems as though he is asymptomatic, which is also a relief, as he won’t feel sick at the very least.

The Boston Celtics will hope that Jaylen Brown will get back to the team sooner rather than later, though Brown’s health and not spreading the virus are both priorities over basketball here. It’s only pre-season right now anyways, and Jaylen Brown will have time to recover and test negative ahead of the upcoming 2021-22 season.

When Jaylen Brown does get back though, the Boston Celtics will be primed to have a solid regular season and make a decent run in the playoffs. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are one of the best star duos in the NBA, and they can give any team trouble on a given night. Hopefully, we’ll see a great season from the Boston Celtics in 2021-22.
