John Wall Has Been Out Of The NBA For More Days Than Michael Jordan’s First Retirement

2 Min Read

The future of Washington Wizards star John Wall has been shrouded in doubt since December of 2018, when a series of serious injuries would take him out of the lineup for over a year.

As he prepares to make his return this season, many are skeptical about what to expect from him, especially given the fact that (by the time he returns), he’ll have missed 728 days — surpassing the length of Jordan’s first retirement, which was 637 days.

Consider Jordan was a bit rusty when he came back to the court, one can only imagine how hard it will be for Wall, who dealt with some major injuries and now has to re-adjust to the NBA landscape again.

He’s got a lot of folks looking forward to his return…

But, of course, it hasn’t come without controversy.

Wall has already made his desire to leave the Wizards known, and his name has surfaced in a number of talks around the league. As the Wizards continue to build around Bradley Beal, it seems the 5x All-Star may have reached the end of his tenure with the Wizards.

But with so many doubts and questions, it won’t be easy to find him a new home.

Needless to say, John Wall has a lot to prove if he wants to show the world he is still among the elite players in the game.
