Kawhi Leonard To Charles Barkley On If He Sees Any Differences Between Ty Lue And Doc Rivers: “Yeah, They’re Two Different People.”

Kawhi Leonard is indeed a fun guy, no doubt about it, and he always shows that without even trying. During a recent interview with the Inside the NBA crew, the Klaw once again delivered, replying to a Charles Barkley question like only he would.

The current Los Angeles Clippers star has gone through a lot since he returned to California in the summer of 2019 to try to lead the team to the promised land. He couldn’t do the job last season after the team blew a 3-1 lead against the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the postseason. Their inability to close games cost Doc Rivers his job and opened the door for Tyronn Lue to take the reins of the team.

Now, the Clips are still perceived as an inconsistent team and they need to turn things around in the second half of the season. Kawhi was asked by Chuck if he noted any differences between Rivers and Lue and his response was just great.

“I mean, yeah, they’re two different people. You know, they’re gonna think different,” Leonard said.

Although you could say he was somehow trolling Barkley by pointing out the obvious, Kawhi explained that they don’t think the same and that is the main thing. Lue inherited a broken team after the fiasco they lived in the bubble and he’s tried to do good things with the pieces he has.

The Clippers don’t have the same attention they had last season and that could be good for them but there are still people who follow them closely and want to see a change in the team. Kawhi and Paul George are trying to lead this team to compete in the West but it seems like they’re still missing one piece. If they manage to make some good moves at the trade deadline, this team could be ready to make good things in the postseason.
