Keldon Johnson is a fantastic up-and-coming two-way forward that plays for the San Antonio Spurs. Johnson is well regarded for his shooting ability and his athleticism, and he clearly has star potential in the future. It is clear that the San Antonio Spurs value Keldon Johnson highly, as they have recently signed him to a four-year, $80 million extension. Shams Charania of The Athletic relayed the news.

The San Antonio Spurs are clearly trying to rebuild, as they have traded away Dejounte Murray to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for draft compensation. Keldon Johnson will likely have plenty of touches as the primary offensive option on the team next season.
There is no doubt that Keldon Johnson’s potential merits that kind of contract, and we’ll see if he becomes a star-level player at some point during that contract. Two-way players who can guard the best opposing offensive player while also providing supplementary offense are very valuable, and Keldon Johnson is one of the best in that category.
