The Boston Celtics are facing a rough stretch for the first time this season after starting out as the best team in the NBA. The Celtics sit atop the standings at the moment but have fallen to a tough 0-2 stretch after a dominant win over the Phoenix Suns.

After failing to impress in an NBA Finals rematch with the Golden State Warriors, the Celtics went up against the inconsistent LA Clippers. Despite the Clippers still working in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George into the rotation after their recent injuries, they easily beat the Celtics 93-113.

Kendrick Perkins ripped into the team after the loss to Golden State and didn’t wait for the final buzzer before going off on Twitter about the squad.

The Celtics had a tough 3-game stretch on the schedule with tricky matchups against Phoenix, Golden State, and the Clippers. While they beat the Suns handily, the two blowout losses after should hurt their stock. However, worry can wait until the Celtics face the 11-15 Los Angeles Lakers tomorrow night.

Have The Celtics Shown Vulnerability?

In the same stretch of games that has spelled disaster for the Phoenix Suns, the Celtics have taken a tumble. It was natural for teams that started off hot to have a week of pain and the Celtics seem to be in a tough spot. It’s a long season and we can’t overreact to 2 losses.

Jayson Tatum was being hailed as the MVP frontrunner, so his performances have been particularly disappointing. Hopefully, the team can find its rhythm soon, or they may be under pressure from the Milwaukee Bucks for the top seed in the East.
