As the Los Angeles Lakers gear up for another title run, their main goal was to bring back some of their major players from this past season, including two-way guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
In a report by The Athletic’s Shams Charania, LA just got their guy back on a three-year deal that will pay him roughly $40 million.
Free agent Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has agreed to a three-year, $40M deal with the Lakers, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul tells @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

KCP was a crucial part of LA’s Championship victory in October, serving as the main perimeter defender and dependable outside shooter in the playoffs.
Obviously, fans were hoping he’d take a little less, but his play in the Orlando bubble revealed his importance to the team and they clearly weren’t willing to let him go.
He averaged 9.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game on 46.7% shooting.
