Kevin Durant has come in Luka Doncic’s defense after the Slovenian player tried to play hero ball and make a game-winning 3-pointer against the Milwaukee Bucks in a very intense game.

The Dallas Mavericks superstar has tried to make this play several times since he nailed a game-winner 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers in the infamous Orlando bubble. However, not every time he tries that, it works, and the game against one of the top teams in the league showed that one move wouldn’t do the job for Luka.

While being guarded by Jrue Holiday, one of the best defenders in the league, Doncic tried to find some space to shoot or pass the ball, but the Milwaukee Bucks’ guard played really good defense, forcing Luka to attempt a shot that didn’t fall.

After that moment, everybody had something to say about Doncic, criticizing him for trying to do everything by himself for the Mavericks. Many people went after him for doing that, but somebody was ready to defend him. Kevin Durant wasn’t taking any criticism for Luka.

While some fans said he should have shown better leadership and communication with his teammates to make a better play, Durant made it clear that everybody knows everybody’s plays in the association.

Kevin Durant's comment on Luka Doncic

“It’s the nba, everybody knows everybody’s plays…,” KD commented under Sideline Sources’ post.

Luka has been on a solo mission for the biggest part of the season. Christian Wood showed flashes of his quality coming off the bench, but all of that has faded now. Tim Hardaway Jr. appears to be taking the role of the second star of the team, but that hasn’t been enough for the Mavericks.

Doncic is the heart and soul of this team, and even though he does too much on certain occasions, this appears to be the only way the Mavs have to compete against other rivals. Fans are urging them to make some moves and bring some help, otherwise, the rumored ‘two-year window’ will be closed for the Mavericks if Luka keeps doing everything on his own.
