Kevin Durant Shares Heartwarming Moment With His Mom After Game 7 Loss

2 Min Read

Kevin Durant may have lost Game 7, but it definitely wasn’t the result of his play.

With 48 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists per game on 47.2% shooting, Durant has another signature performance, perhaps proving that he is the NBA’s best player.

With the game basically over, and his loss assured, Durant went viral for a moment he shared with his mother, Wanda, on the sidelines.

This isn’t the first time KD has put his mom in the NBA spotlight. For just one example, we can point to Durant’s famous MVP speech, in which he called Wanda the “real MVP.”

It’s clear that Durant shares a very close relationship with his mom, and it’s really wholesome stuff.

Over the years, she has been seen supporting her son all over the place — whether it’s been on the sidelines, in front of the cameras, or on social media.

Unfortunately for the Durant family, they won’t get to enjoy watching Kevin bring home another Championship. The Nets’ season is over.

But, going forward, nobody should count them out. With some time to heal and gel, Durant, Harden, and Kyrie Irving are going to be a threat in the NBA for years to come, as they remain the league’s most lethal trio.

But, for now, it looks like KD will have to make do with watching the 2021 title chase play out from home.
