As the face of the league, and a role model to millions around the globe, LeBron James takes his image very seriously, which is why he rarely gets caught up in scandals or controversies.

On Sunday, however, King James got into a bit of trouble for his altercation with Isaiah Stewart, who exploded with age after catching a fist to the face by James.

In the aftermath of the ordeal, the NBA handed down a suspension for James, but the worst of it came from the fans, who called the 4x MVP weak for how he acted throughout the incident.

All around the community, conversations have erupted about the toughness of basketball’s biggest star and if anybody really fears like they did MJ, I.T., and Kobe Bryant.

Amid these talks, LeBron got support from an unlikely source: former Celtics big man Kevin Garnett, who has played against James a total of 60 times throughout his NBA career.

In a chat on the “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” podcast, he said this about 23:

“I wanted to see who was made of what,” said Garnett. “A lot of people don’t know that Bron James, he don’t say it loud, but he’ll s— talk back to you. Bron a real one. He from Akron. If y’all do any research on that, it’s no Beverley Hills or no sh*t like that. He come some from real sh*t.

Garnett was always seen as one of the tougher, grittier players back in his day, so it says a lot that he speaks about James in that way.

It is true that LeBron has been caught trash-talking opponents before, soo it’s clear that he’s not afraid to bite back when someone comes at him.

Still, it seems that coming to a clear consensus on “the King” is always an impossible task.
