Kyle Kuzma Replies To Chris Webber Taking A Shot At Draymond Green: “He’s An Unbelievable Player And A Key Piece To Winning Title”

2 Min Read

Draymond Green has earned a lot of criticism in recent days due to his poor display against the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals. Green has been unable to find his touch, playing like a shell of himself in front of the C’s, who have capitalized on his mistakes in their two Finals wins.

This isn’t the old Draymond we were used to seeing, and things have gotten so bad that even his mom wondered what is happening with the player that he’s not performing as he usually does. Some name his focus on being a podcaster as a reason why he’s been off lately, but Draymond won’t stop doing what he likes to please people.

Still, that doesn’t stop folks from criticizing him and recently, Chris Webber had some things to say about Green’s displays, comparing him to ex-NFL wide receiver Wes Welker.

Is Draymond Green the Wes Welker of the NBA… yes or no. And if yes… what does that mean…. And what does that mean for him and Wes??

It wasn’t clear if Webber was dissing or praising Green, but Kuzma assumed that it was a shot at Dray. The Washington Wizards forward took to Twitter to defend Draymond in a now-deleted tweet. He complimented Draymond by saying that he’s a great player and has been fundamental for his team to win championships.

“THAT’S HE’S A UNBELIEVABLE PLAYER & A KEY PIECE TO WINNING TITLES… ???” Kuz replied to Webber.

Draymond has vowed to get better for the rest of the series. The Warriors need him at his best level now more than ever. Game 5 is due tomorrow at Chase Center, and if Golden State aspires to win it all, they must secure this game to get closer to the win. Green knows he has a big pressure on his shoulders, but this isn’t anything he hasn’t done before.
