The Los Angeles Lakers are in the midst of a back-to-back that may decide the direction of their season. Tonight was the first game against the Utah Jazz and saw the Lakers pull off a 135-133 win.

LeBron James clinched the win for the Lakers with a 37-point outing in Utah and also scored the game-winning layup to seal the deal. Fans were overjoyed at seeing this.

One fan said, “Lakers walking into the 6th seed.”

Another fan jokingly praised LeBron.

A fan showed how good the Lakers have been since the trade deadline, “Lakers are 16-7 since the Westbrook trade & 7-1 when LeBron plays. Stunning.”

LeBron put on an OT masterclass according to one fan, “Dude… I just realized LeBron’s OT was #insane. >Down 3? hits the 27-foot fade with the shot clock winding down. >Then comes back down to give them the lead. >Back down 1? Two FTs to get the lead back. >Jazz tie it up? Hit the game-winner and go home.”

Fans also praised the on-court chemistry between LeBron and Anthony Davis, “AD seen LeBron with the ball on the fastbreak and started sprinting because he knew ‘Bron was diming him. Best 2-man chemistry in the league, man”

Some fans were worried about what a thought OT win means for the Lakers before their back-to-back against the Clippers tomorrow, “Win is a win. Only positive from the game is that LeBron dominated OT but Jesus they might pay the price for this game tomorrow night.”

There has been concern about the level of production the Lakers will see with LeBron after he returned early from injury. Those worries can be removed as James took over this game to deliver the win at the end. His team helped out as well, with 5 players scoring over 15 points and 3 players scoring over 20 points.

The Lakers now face a rested Clippers team tomorrow in what may be the most exciting regular-season matchup left on the calendar.

The Batlle Of LA Over A Guaranteed Playoff Spot

The Lakers have climbed ahead of the Golden State Warriors into the 6th seed temporarily. If the Warriors beat the Thunder tonight, the Lakers will slide back to 7 and have an identical record to the Clippers. The team that wins the Lakers vs. Clippers game tomorrow will take a massive advantage over the other in the race for the top-6 seeds.

The Lakers set out for a top-6 seed when they traded Russell Westbrook away. Now they have to contain Russ in his revenge game to try and secure a better seed than their bitter rivals. The Clippers are yet to lose to the Lakers since Ty Lue took over as coach, so this matchup tomorrow might be a can’t-miss affair.
