LeBron James Calls Out Devin Booker After Flagrant Foul On Dennis Schroder: 'That Wasn't A Basketball Play'
LeBron James, just like the rest of the Lakers Nation, wasn't happy with Devin Booker's actions in the last minute of Game 3 between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns.
Booker shoved Dennis Schroder while the German point guard was in the air, almost hurting him. Fortunately, Dennis was fine and started doing push-ups after falling to the floor.
This play raised many eyebrows around the association and players like Anthony Davis and LeBron James reacted to this. In his post-game press conference, Bron called out Booker for his actions, saying that the play had nothing to do with the game and it was dangerous that he was doing those things (2:29).
"Well I thought the play wasn’t a basketball play," James said. "Any time someone gets airborne, shoving them out of the air can be very dangerous. So that’s that."
He was asked if the Lakers felt their physicality flustered the Suns, the King dismissed that notion, saying they're focused on playing their game and nothing else.
"We’re not looking at it like that. We’re just trying to play our game.
"We want to continue to get the ball in the paint, be willing to shoot the ball, and I thought Wes Matthews did a great job of spreading the floor tonight, opening it up for us, open up the lanes for us with them back-to-back threes he had. So every game is going to be different and we need to be able to adjust it."
The Lakers are now 2-1 in the series after beating the Suns 109-95. James and Davis went off on the Suns, who once again missed Chris Paul for a big chunk of the 4th quarter.
They weren't happy to see Booker doing this and let him know. Game 4 of the series will be played this Sunday, where the purple and gold will try to increase their advantage.
