LeBron James is many things: a basketball player, movie star, business mogul. But perhaps his most important, and relished, title is that of a father to his three children, Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri.

Over the years, he has made his love and appreciation for them widely known, and that was the case again on Wednesday, when he posted a special message for his oldest son, Bronny, in celebration of his 17th birthday.

They is insane man!!! 17!! 17!! What In the hell is going on. How are you 17?? . My baby boy! Ight enough of soft . . Proud of you Young . Watching you grow into the young man you are today makes me so happy and proud! Love you kid! Keep going up above and beyond! I’m right here guiding and watching! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

As a guard at Sierra Canyon High School, Bronny is probably one of the youngest stars in the sports world right now, and there’s still so much we don’t know about his game and his plans for the future.

According to multiple reports, Bronny is headed on a path to the NBA, where both he and his Father hope to face each other at some point down the line. LeBron himself confirmed that it was a goal of his:

“That’s definitely one of my goals, but that’s a long-term goal. My son right now is in high school and enjoying what being a teenager is all about. But that would be pretty cool to go on my resume.”

As the years go by, it’s a dream that seems more and more likely — and it will be quite an amazing moment to witness.

But, for now, Bronny is going to enjoy being a kid while his dad will work to make the most of the time he has left as an elite player.
