Over the past 18 years, we’ve seen some extraordinary things from LeBron James. A 17x All-Star, 4x MVP, and 4x NBA Champion, the 36-year-old has dominated the league for nearly two decades now and it’s been absolutely amazing to behold.

And while there’s no point looking back, James recently reflected on his past.

In honor of the anniversary of his NBA debut, James sent a special message to his fans:

“It’s been a helluva ride! Hope you’ve enjoyed. Still more to come.”

LeBron has come a long way since his rookie season. Amazingly, 18 years later, he’s still among the best players in the game while competing at the highest level.

This season, as a Laker, he’s hoping to capture his fifth title. But even he admitted it will be challenging.

“We pretty much have got a whole new offensive system this year that we’ve been working through over our practices since training camp started,” James said, via Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen & Roll.

“It’s an adjustment for us offensively, just having guys in different positions, having guys in different places on the floor with our new look and what we’re trying to do. It’s going to be a process for us, but I think it will be better off for us in the long run. It keeps the ball moving from one side to another,” James said. “Not much with a dribble but more with a pass. And obviously we’ve got downhill attackers with Russ, K(endrick) Nunn, myself and Talen.”

Needless to say, LeBron is in for another daunting season, and the Lakers are already off to a rough start. But there is confidence that he can help the team turn things around, just like he has many times before.

At this point in his career, the King isn’t worried about anything. He’s seen it all and done it all, and it’s been one hell of a ride.
