LeBron James must have been extremely pleased while watching his Los Angeles Lakers face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder and walk out with a big win.

With Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell also missing the contest and Dennis Schroder picking up an injury mid-game, James commended his team’s effort in the win on Twitter.

James watched the game from Los Angeles as he’s treating his foot injury at home. With the team coming back to LA for a 5-game home stand, the fans will be keeping their fingers crossed for James to make a return sometime during this stretch. LeBron is expected to miss a minimum of 2 weeks.

Point Guard Crisis For The Lakers?

By trading Kendrick Nunn, Russell Westbrook, and Patrick Beverley, the Lakers have gone from a guard-heavy roster to one heavily lacking guards. D’Angelo Russell and Dennis Schroder are the only 2 point guards on the team, with LeBron James also playing that role.

Russell and LeBron are expected to miss the Lakers’ next game and Schroder will be questionable after injuring himself tonight. The Lakers need some sort of a stop-gap in ball-handling during this stretch of fixtures, as it’ll be a challenge for their wings and bigs to create offense on their own.

Signing John Wall out of free agency may be their best move right now. He gives them depth at the point guard position and is a veteran presence to have through the season. He’d be crucial for their playoff push in the regular season and be a valuable option to deploy in the playoffs when required.
