Unless you have been living under a rock these last few days, you’d know that Brian Windhorst, of all people, has taken social media by storm. While Windy usually does this by breaking some news on some big trades, he did it on this occasion with what ended up being a hilarious segment on the Utah Jazz.

Windhorst was wondering why the Jazz would trade Royce O’Neal to the Nets, and he was building up the tension like an ace movie director. In a way, he was on the money that something was definitely going on behind the scenes, as the Jazz ended up trading Rudy Gobert, but that segment will be memed forever for the way he built it up. After news broke out that Goran Dragic agreed to a deal with the Bulls despite some murmurs about him going to the Mavericks, Legion Hoops posted the viral meme as they wondered, “What’s happening in Dallas?”.

Luka wanted Goran Dragic on his team, yet the Mavs let him sign a minimum deal with the Bulls.

It doesn’t look like this one is going away anytime soon, and it has flooded NBA Twitter at this point. Memes aside, you do wonder why the Mavericks didn’t push to sign Dragic. They have just lost Jalen Brunson, who left for the Knicks, and could definitely use someone like Dragic, who has played with Luka Doncic for the national team.

The Mavericks looked to be in a great position when they traded for Christian Wood last month, but things have gone downhill since then. The fans weren’t very happy after they failed to sign Dragic, and they made their feelings known to Mark Cuban, who sarcastically liked some tweets that were calling him out. The Mavs do need to make sure they do everything within their powers to surround Luka with more talent, and this seems like a missed opportunity. As for Windhorst, he is going to see his face all over social media for the foreseeable future, at least.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
