With Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and others, the Denver Nuggets have a solid foundation that came together in all the right ways this season. Now, for the first time in franchise history, the Nuggets are in the Finals, and just one win away from claiming the title.

They’ve impressed a lot of people en route to this victory, including iconic rapper Lil Wayne. Last week, Wayne appeared all over NBA Twitter after sharing his thoughts on the series. He even attended the game live and went viral for his post-game reaction to Nikola Jokic’s greatness.

The Joker dropped 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists in Game 4, and that type of play has been routine for him since the season began. But now that his play has reached another level in the playoffs, Jokic has earned the respect of even the staunchest NBA critics.

If he closes the deal this year and wins his first title, it will do wonders for his legacy as one of the game’s greatest big men ever.

Jokic Is The Best Player In The World

At this point, there is no denying Jokic’s place at the top of the food chain. Between his scoring, playmaking, and rebounding, Jokic has proven his value, and nobody could stop him.

“I don’t think anyone can do what he’s doing at the moment. Definitely the best basketball player in the world,” said Novak Djokovic. “He’s the pride of Serbia… We hope he can win his first ring.”

With season averages of 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game, you could easily make the case that Jokic deserved MVP honors for his efforts. Joel Embiid earned rightfully earned the award, of course, but Jokic is much better off anyway with a chance to make history by leading the Nuggets to a championship.
