Atlanta Hawks star Lou Williams shared his two cents on fashion, and safe to say, the decision he made to stop buying expensive and fashionable clothing helped him save money.
The 3-time NBA Sixth Man of the year also explained what he preferred instead of the luxury brands, and that comes as a surprise to most who are under the impression that high-profile athletes lead a lavish lifestyle.
On a social media post that shared Williams’ take on fashion, he’s seen explaining that he prefers something minimalistic and cheaper.

Lou Williams’ Down To Earth Nature Has Been Documented Earlier As Well
The idea of fashion and the simplicity of his lifestyle hasn’t been the first instance of the 35-year-old’s rather down-to-earth nature. Per a Sportscasting report, the guard hosts a summer camp at his high school alma mater, South Gwinnett High School, every year, and that was his way of doing something for the children.
“Being a youth, I really didn’t go to a lot of after-school activities. I didn’t have the resources or funds in my family,” he explained. “To have the opportunity to do it for these kids at an affordable price means a lot to me.”
On the season front, Williams, who re-signed with Atlanta in August 2021, will suit up as they look to make another postseason bid. In his previous season with the side, he averaged 6.3 points, 1.9 assists, and 1.6 rebounds in 56 games.
The previous season saw them lose to the Miami Heat in the first round. The 2020-21 season was a good run for the side as they trounced the New York Knicks 4-1 in the first round and forced a Game 7 against the Philadelphia 76ers to win 4-3. They lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in the Conference Finals.
The Hawks will start their campaign at home against the Houston Rockets on October 19.
