Luka Doncic and Marcus Morris starred a very controversial moment during Game 5 of the Dallas Mavericks-Los Angeles Clippers series. Doncic has been involved in controversies in almost every game of the series, including the last one, where the Clips dismantled the Mavs, beating them with 43 points of difference. However, during the game, there was an incident that raised a lot of eyebrows around the league.

In the third quarter of the game, Morris stepped on the sprained left ankle of Luka Doncic, creating any kind of reaction. Luka struggled with his pain on Tuesday night and you could see him running with difficulties during the game.

Doncic talked about the incident after the game and it was clear that he wasn’t happy about it. He said he had his own thoughts and would leave fans to think whatever they want.

“I mean, I’m sitting here, of course. I had my own thoughts. I just hope it wasn’t intentional. Tell me what you think.”

He then was asked if he received an explanation from Morris, but his response was negative. In fact, he said he didn’t want to talk with the Clippers player.

“No, I don’t want to talk to him. He is just saying a lot of bad stuff to me all the game. And I just don’t wanna talk to him and I just got to move on. Like I said everybody’s gonna have their own opinion. I just hope it wasn’t intentional coz if it was intentional, that’s really bad.”

On the other hand, Morris replied to the comments saying he did it on purpose, stating that his level of respect for himself and the rest of the players is very high.

“I play this game with a level of respect for myself and other players. To think I would try to injure somebody is crazy to me,” Morris wrote on Twitter.. “10 years going against the best. I stand on morals and hard work. I compete and leave it out there every game.”

The Clippers have been doing anything they can to mess with Luka. Ever since Game 1, they tried to get under his skin, Montrezl Harrell, Morris and even Pat Beverley have tried to play mind games with him. This series has gotten very emotional and these are the results. The Clippers took the 3-2 lead and they hope to finish the job on Thursday.
