Luka Doncic Was Furious And Mad At Rick Carlisle: “Told You Not To Call A Timeout When You Don’t Need It!”

2 Min Read

Luka Doncic was utterly furious at Rick Carlisle’s decision to call what he considered a bad timeout. The Slovenian player had a rough night trying to take his Dallas Mavericks to the second round of the NBA playoffs, losing Game 6 of their series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

In the 4th quarter of the game, Doncic asked his head coach to not use a timeout unless it was completely necessary. Well, Carlisle made the decision by himself and still called it. Naturally, this didn’t sit well with Luka, who was spotted yelling at his coach on the bench.

“Told you not to call a timeout when you don’t need it!” Luka told the 2011 NBA champion coach.

The Mavs couldn’t seal the deal on Friday night, clearing the way for the Clippers to steal a crucial game at the American Airlines Center. This result continues to trend of guest teams winning every game of this series. Kawhi Leonard went off with 45 points, lifting his side over an always complex Mavericks team.

Both teams have a lot of things to figure out prior to Sunday game. Luka and his coach will need to get on the same page over certain situations, or the Mavs could have a hard time trying to beat the Clippers at home for the fourth time this series.

Game 7 of this series is scheduled for Sunday at 3.30 PM ET. The Clippers will try to break the Mavericks streak and win the last game at home, while Doncic is focused on crushing their dreams once again.
