Mark Cuban Posts Touching Pic Of Recovering Delonte West

2 Min Read

A couple of weeks ago, Delonte West stole all the headlines again for the worst reasons, as the former NBA player was spotted wandering around and homeless at North Dallas.

People tried to reach out to him and the pic went viral, up to the point where Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was able to track him down and reunite him with his family, even paying to send him to Florida so he could recover and rehabilitate.

Now, Cuban posted a touching picture of a clearly recovered West, horse-back riding presumably on the rehabilitation center:

“Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you, Delonte West . A long, long , long way to go, but he has taken the first steps and shared these with all of us as a thank you for the love and support,” Cuban tweeted.

West’s story has been out in the open for years now, as the former player of the Mavericks, Celtics, and Cavaliers reportedly went broke and has wandered around the streets for some time now.

Apparently, Delonte has struggled with alcohol and substance abuse as well as bipolar disorder, and even though some of his former teammates and even the NBA Players Association tried to reach out to him and help, they just couldn’t pull it off.

That’s why it’s so nice to see how he’s getting his life back on track, trying to get it all together and just taking it one day at a time. Also, it’s an enormous gesture by Mark Cuban, and hopefully, we’ll never see West go through hell again. Prayers up and best wishes.
