Miami Heat Twitter Account Sends Huge Message After Game 5 Upset

1 Min Read

Coming in as major underdogs to win the series, and Game 5, the Miami Heat came into this match tonight with all the odds stacked against them. But with their backs against the wall, they refused to quit and were able to stave off elimination to force a Game 6.

It was an inspiring win and, in the immediate aftermath, the team made sure to make some noise on Twitter:

The Heat have been more than underdogs: they’ve been practically an afterthought as most in the NBA community have already treated this title like it belongs to the Lakers.

But as Pat Riley has said numerous times throughout the postseason, his team doesn’t care about what we think and they’re not here to make friends. They have always had faith in their abilities even when others have not, and they are proving before our eyes why they shouldn’t be so easily counted out.

While there’s no way to predict whether or not they will complete this comeback, we can’t say it’s impossible, not with this team.

We’ll see how it plays out on Sunday.
