Giannis Antetokounmpo is on the verge of winning his second-straight MVP. At 25-years-old, with season averages of 29.5 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 5.6 assists, the Greek Freak is also (easily) one of the league’s most coveted players.
Which is why, according to reports, the Miami Heat are willing to give up “any” two players for him in a trade this offseason.
Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel:
“The point I agree with most is that the Bucks have to make the NBA Finals, or it will get quite uneasy in Milwaukee,” Winderman wrote in response to a question on the Heat’s need for Antetokounmpo. “As for your other points, there is this reality: If the Heat had to, there is not a player on the current roster they wouldn’t trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo, or possibly not even any two.”

While Giannis has expressed no outward desire to leave the Bucks, but with his free-agency looming and the team having yet to make the Finals under his leadership, there are no guarantees that he’ll stay with the franchise.
The Heat are a respected organization with a rich past and a leadership core composed of some of the most brilliant minds in basketball history. If Giannis does decide to leave, one has to think he’d like the thought of joining the team in South Beach. And it seems Miami is willing to part with whatever piece they have to in order to get it done.
Don’t be surprised if they make a big signing at some point in the 2020 offseason.
