At times, professional athletes make playing in the NBA look easy. But many forget that they have dedicated their entire lives to the sport of basketball to become a star in the toughest league in the world.

So is there a possibility that a random fan tried to play in the NBA and was given a target to score 15 points? In the hypothetical situation, the upside would be winning $20 million. Seems easy? Brooklyn Nets star Mikal Bridges certainly doesn’t think so.

“Y’all better not even think about that 20,” Bridges tweeted.

The imaginary situation was proposed by the popular Twitter page ‘Legion Hoops.’ A few fans believed that they could score 15 points for $20 million against NBA players. But Mikal Bridges issued a warning to such fans.

Well, to be honest, the level of talent in the NBA is at an all-time high right now. Even the players who are warming up the bench are incredibly talented. Thus, for an average Joe to score 15 points in an NBA game for $20 million would be next to impossible.

The Brooklyn Nets Want To Rebuild Around Mikal Bridges

Last season, the Brooklyn Nets traded Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for a trade package around Mikal Bridges.

Bridges elevated to stardom while donning the Nets’ jersey. He averaged 26.1 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 2.7 APG over 27 games in the 2022-23 NBA season for the organization.

The 26-year-old’s output has seemingly impressed the franchise as they intend to build around him in the future.

“Mikal Bridges is a guy they’re going to build around… The kind of offers the Nets have gotten for him speaks to how valuable he is, a player, I think for Brooklyn, they keep in place for the next big star that’s available in a trade.”

The Nets completely trust Bridges to take the franchise to new heights. Bridges will hope to help the Nets attain a better record in the 2023-24 NBA season. The Nets finished their previous campaign as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 45-37 record.
