NBA commissioner Adam Silver is still going strong in the league, but he could soon face a new challenge once his time as one of the most important people in the world of sports ends.

According to Charles Gasparino of Fox Business News, Mr. Silver is one of the candidates to become Disney CEO.

SCOOP: Media execs say @Disney has unofficial short list of internal/external candidates to replace @RobertIger includes @NBA commish Adam Silver @KevinMayer $DIS Entertainment's Dana Walden. Silver suggests $DIS having second thoughts about ditching @espn 345pm @FoxBusiness

He’s reportedly in a group of people that can make a good run at the job, but it’s unclear when the giant company will make a final decision on this.

Silver’s current deal runs through 2024 when he’ll make 10 years as the commish. During his time as the commissioner, Silver has faced many challenges, including the covid-19 crisis of 2020, the China-Daryl Morey scandal, and more.

He’s become one of the most respected commissioners in the four major American sports leagues, and some fans have become his admirers. Mr. Silver has also tried to make the NBA a more inclusive league and has made it clear he hopes to see women taking a bigger role in coaching in the next years.

The NBA Has Grown Since Adam Silver Took Over

The NBA has seen huge growth since Silver took the reins, and the league is always trying to innovate, but also try to improve its image to the world. Things have gone worse for some fans, but in terms of the show, the association has gotten better.

This is one of the most popular leagues in the world of sports, and they’ve become a global brand. Silver has tried to make it more popular while trying to help people around the world with basketball.

We’ve come a long way, and it’s fair to say that the NBA is a big show now thanks to Silver’s work. He already showed his vision many years ago when recorded the Chicago Bulls’ dynasty’s final season, which then help make the award-winning docu-series The Last Dance.
