In just two seasons, Luka Doncic has shown himself to be a true star in this league. With averages of 28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 8.8 assists on 46% shooting, he was named an All-Star in 2020, likely the first of many accolades he’ll earn over his NBA career.
But for those that still have doubts about just how special the Slovenian kid is, listen to these words by one NBA executive, who used expletives to describe his inevitable rise to the top…

The piece was part of a survey conducted by ESPN, in which they asked executives to make predictions regarding the upcoming season. Not only was Doncic hailed as the next big star, but he also got the most votes for the upcoming season’s MVP.
Needless to say, the basketball world is extremely high on Luka, as they should be. We saw what the guy was able to do in the playoffs, leading the Mavericks to an inspiring effort against the Clippers, even nailing a buzzer-beating game-winner.
While it’s hard to say how far he’ll take the Mavericks this season, it’s clear he’s going to be putting on a show for years to come.
