It looks like DeMarcus Cousins will be back in the NBA this season. Recently, it was reported that Cousins would be signing a one-year contract with the reigning NBA Champions Milwaukee Bucks. Cousins became a free agent after playing out his contract with the LA Clippers, but never received an offer.
Fans haven’t reacted well to this new move. One fan on Twitter even accused him of consistently ring chasing. The fan also pointed out his recent career history, and how he has bounced around to different championship contenders in order to get himself a ring.

Won't call it ring chasing, he came off injuries, no one wants to sign him to a starting roll. What's next for a vet? A championship roster where he can have valuable minutes off the bench or if a starter goes down, they get the opportunity to show why they still deserve to start

This would become Cousins’ fifth team in the span of 4 seasons. In 2018, Cousins, who was an All-Star and one of the best players in the league, shocked the world and joined the defending 2-time NBA champions Golden State Warriors on a minimum contract. Many fans accused of him ring chasing at the time.
The move did not work out the way Cousins hoped, as the Warriors lost in the 2019 NBA Finals to the Toronto Raptors. The next season, Cousins signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, who had just signed Anthony Davis and become a championship contender.
But Cousins would never take to the court as a laker, as an injury ruled him out for the season. DeMarcus would receive an NBA championship ring as the Lakers went on to win the title that season, but didn’t play any part in their performance on the court.
Seemingly giving up on his quest to win a ring, Cousins would join the Rockets in 2020. But eventually agreed to a buy-out midseason, and signed with LA Clippers, the Lakers’ rivals and fellow championship contender. He had two 10-day contracts, before signing on till the end of the season.
Boogie barely played in the playoffs, as the Clippers fell to the Suns in the Western Conference Finals. During the offseason, Cousins didn’t get a contract offer from the Clippers. But it appears Boogie is once again joining a championship contender, signing with the champions. Whether he wins a ring, that remains to be seen.
