One fan was quick to talk about Paul George also being out.

Anthony Davis getting a minor stinger and returning to the game gave optimism to fans.

Some fans lamented playoff games being decided because of injuries.

A fan mocked Zion Williamson.

Some fans were worried about restricted area charges given how Giannis and Morant injured themselves.

Another fan tried focusing on the positives.

Giannis injured his back when Kevin Love slid under him on a drive attempt, Tyler Herro is expected to miss the playoffs with a broken hand, Morant took a bad fall and is not optimistic about playing in Game 2, while Anthony Davis suffered a shoulder stinger that caused him to be on the bench for extended periods of time.

With players like Paul George, Jaden McDaniels, and more also hurt, these playoffs seem to be taking victims with it.

Will This Be A Repeat Of 2021?

The 2021 Playoffs are notorious for how injuries essentially ruined almost every marquee matchup. The Bucks vs. Nets series saw Brooklyn lose out on Kyrie Irving and James Harden in a highly anticipated matchup. The Lakers blew a 2-1 first-round lead after Anthony Davis got hurt, and Kawhi Leonard ended up tearing his ACL in the second round against the Jazz.

Thankfully, these injuries aren’t serious enough to make anyone miss a lot of time outside Herro’s hand fracture on the 8th-seeded Heat. Giannis’ x-rays came back negative and AD finished off the game against the Grizz. Morant’s status is still unclear, so we’ll see if he plays in Game 2.
