The Los Angeles Lakers traveled to Chicago with the hopes of beating their Bulls after a tough loss two nights ago. Thankfully, the Lakers did exactly what they set out to do and walked out with a 121-110 win to go back to .500.

Anthony Davis was the star man for the Lakers, scoring 38 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Fans are extremely excited to see what the Lakers can achieve in the final weeks of the season to secure their playoff spot.

Fans were already mocking Patrick Beverley for his horrid performance on the night, “Pat Bev Sunday against Lakers vs Pat Bev Wednesday.”

Another fan was excited to see the Lakers beat the Bulls after their loss the other night, “Lakers win and get their revenge against Chicago. Pat Bev, sleep tight my boy.”

One fan was already looking ahead, “The Lakers have a good chance to move to the 7th seed on Friday with a win over the Timberwolves. Their bench gotta step up though.”

An interesting stat was shared, “The Lakers are now 4-0 with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and D’Angelo Russell in the lineup.

Fans shared their analysis, “This team fluctuates between contender and play-in exit level based on if Anthony Davis wants to play basketball that night and it’s frustrating as hell lol. This is the same f**kin team he barely shot against last game and he has them in hell tonight.”

Another fan was excited.

The Lakers’ starting lineup delivered and gave the team solid production even beyond AD. LeBron James had 25 points while Austin Reaves had 19. Even D’Angelo Russell dropped 17 in his comeback game from injury. This sort of proficiency will lead the Lakers to great success in the postseason if they make it there.

Is A Run At The No. 6 Seed Likely?

The Lakers have wanted the No. 6 seed since the trade deadline and saw their coach basically announce that to everyone. Minor losses here and there have caused them to drop off and be 1.5 games behind the 6th seed despite having just 6 games left in the season. This includes tricky matchups against the likes of the Clippers and Suns.

They will guarantee a spot for themselves in the play-in at this pace, with teams like the Dallas Mavericks losing another game tonight and virtually ruling themselves out of playoff contention. The play-in is the likeliest avenue for the Lakers to compete in, so they’ll focus on at least being the 7th or 8th seed instead of having to win two win-or-go-home games to just be the 8th seed.
