  • Anthony Edwards balled out as Team USA beat Greece 108-86 in an exhibition game ahead of the FIBA World Cup
  • The Timberwolves star scored the most points in the game, dropping 21 on Greece
  • NBA Fans showered a lot of praise upon Anthony Edwards after his performance

Anthony Edwards has continued his upward trajectory for Team USA by leading the team in scoring against Greece in their exhibition game. Edwards had a game-high 21 points and contributed immensely to a 108-86 win for Team USA. And NBA fans showed him love for his performance.

Anthony Edwards is already an NBA All-Star despite being just 22 years old, and more and more fans are getting convinced that he has a bright future ahead of him.

Anthony Edwards is capable of playing on both sides of the basketball court, a rare talent in the modern NBA. And one fan thinks that makes him the best in his age bracket.

LeBron James was anointed with the legendary nickname ‘The Chosen One’ when he was still in high school. Anthony Edwards isn’t that young, but one fan thinks his potential is that great.

And while one performance in an exhibition game doesn’t mean too much in the grand scheme of things, Anthony Edwards is earning some serious praise for everything he has managed to do recently.

Anthony Edwards Is Living Up To His Promise Of Being An Elite Scorer For Team USA

Anthony Edwards has been developing his leadership abilities during his time with the Minnesota Timberwolves and it seems to be carrying forward to Team USA. His performance against Slovenia earned him a lot of plaudits as well, and he is becoming the face of this roster while living up to his promise

“I can score the ball. I don’t care about the leader,” Edwards said to Bally Sports. “That’s what I do, I score the ball. So, why would I come out here and try to do something else?”

Anthony Edwards averaged 24.6 points per game in the NBA last season, and this experience with Team USA could elevate his game even further. If the praise is so high for exhibition games, it would be wild to see how much hype he will get if he carries this form into the World Cup and helps his team win it all.
