Before coming to the league, Zion Williamson was touted to be the next big thing in the NBA. Even before playing a single game in the league, fans were hyped to see him dominate the league.
But the former number one overall pick’s NBA career so far has been far from ideal. He has shown signs of stardom here and there, but due to constant injury troubles, Zion is yet to show his true talent.
Well, that could change in the 2022-23 NBA season. Williamson was sidelined for the entire last season due to injury and now seems hungrier than ever for success. Moreover, he is putting in work as his trainer has claimed that he has become even more athletic ahead of the new season.
During NBA media day, Williamson was asked how he was feeling, and the 22-year-old joyfully revealed he was feeling great.
"I feel like I'm at my best right now… Moving faster, jumping higher. I feel great."

“I feel like I’m at my best right now. I feel like I’m moving faster, jumping higher. I just, I feel great.”
It’s certainly good news for the New Orleans Pelicans fans, as they have been waiting to see the best of Zion for several years now. Additionally, NOLA has also re-signed CJ McCollum to provide support to their cornerstone player.
Zion Williamson Is Fitter Than Ever
Just taking a single look at Zion during the NBA media day was enough for people to know that something has changed about him in the past year.

Still gon’ find him hurt in the 1st couple months in the season…he’s played less than 1 full season out 3. Something is gonna give, either health (still) or skill.

Most fans were happy to see that Zion had finally decided to get into shape. They believe that if he can stay healthy throughout the season, he may take the Pelicans to a deep playoff run.
On the other hand, some fans believe that he doesn’t even look that different from the last season. Well, we will only find out how much Williamson has improved once the new season begins and we see him play.
