Kevin Durant has recently asked for a trade request, and there’s no doubt that this has shaken the entire NBA world. It is quite likely that a lot of teams will end up trying to make trades for Kevin Durant, but it is clear that he already has some destinations in mind.
Adrian Wojnarowski has recently reported that Kevin Durant has the Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns on his “wish list” of trade destinations. There’s no doubt that Kevin Durant would help both teams get over the hump and potentially win a championship.
Phoenix and Miami are among two of the teams that Kevin Durant has on his wish list, sources tell ESPN, but the Nets plan to move Durant where they can get the best possible deal. With four years on his contract, there’s no shortage of teams willing to unload assets for Durant.
It seems as though the Brooklyn Nets want an exorbitant amount for Kevin Durant. NBA insider Jake Fischer has recently reported that the Nets would request Devin Booker or Bam Adebayo from the Phoenix Suns or the Miami Heat in any potential trade for Kevin Durant.

There is no doubt that both Bam Adebayo and Devin Booker could potentially become franchise cornerstones for the Brooklyn Nets. They are young stars who are entering their early primes, and both have Finals experience. Acquiring either one would set the Brooklyn Nets up for the foreseeable future, along with the other assets from any hypothetical package traded away by either team. One thing to note is that the Nets can’t acquire Adebayo until they trade Ben Simmons, as only one designated rookie max player per roster can be acquired via trade.
It remains to be seen if those two players do, in fact, end up getting traded. It would obviously be a risk for both the Heat and the Suns, but perhaps acquiring a mega star like Kevin Durant would be worth it for both the Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns.
