Jalen Brunson had an amazing playoff run with the Dallas Mavericks, averaging 21.6 PPG, 4.6 RPG, and 3.7 APG for the team next to Luka Doncic. There is no doubt that he showed that he is capable of stepping up and scoring the basketball, and he is an amazing secondary ballhandler.

The New York Knicks were a team that was heavily linked with Jalen Brunson. It seems as though they will be getting their man. Shams Charania of The Athletic has recently reported that Jalen Brunson intends to sign a $110 million, four-year deal with the Knicks in free agency.

Jalen Brunson will fill the point guard position for the New York Knicks, and he would get the opportunity to be a lead ballhandler and full-time point guard on the team. It will definitely be interesting to see if he can thrive in a bigger role, but that was reportedly part of the Knicks’ pitch to get him.

There’s no doubt that Jalen Brunson is a good player, who can be a good piece for the Knicks and help them return to the playoffs. He could be the stable presence at PG that the team needs, and it’ll be interesting to see how he fits with players like RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley. It is clear that the Knicks think he’s the man for the job though, and hopefully, the move works out for them.
