Amin Elhassan: “Ja Morant Is Who De’Aaron Fox Thinks He Is”

Amin Elhassan is not a big fan of the Sacramento Kings star De’Aaron Fox, as he recently revealed. Fox has been in the league for a couple of years now, trying to lead his team to the postseason without finding success. Fox is now focused on finally take the leap and make the Kings a competitive squad.

During a recent edition of ESPN’s ‘The Jump,’ Rachel Nichols, Elhassan and Paul Pierce were discussing what sophomores are going to have a better season in the league. The ROY winner, Ja Morant, was obviously part of the conversation. When Nichols asked Elhassan if he wanted Morant in his team, he took a shot at De’Aaron Fox while praising the Memphis Grizzlies young star.

“He is who De’Aaron Fox thinks he is,” Elhassan replied while he smiled.

Fox had a terrific first season with the Grizzlies. They were just two games away from making the playoffs last season until Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers said otherwise. Morant is a really great talent and the Grizzlies should take the most advantage of that. As for Fox, people around the league are already seeing him as an overrated player. It’s up to him if that narrative changes this campaign.
