Stephen Curry is widely considered the best shooter to ever play the game, and he is generally viewed as the best player on the Golden State Warriors. There is no doubt that he’s had a very good playoff run thus far, averaging 27.3 PPG, 4.1 RPG, and 5.6 APG, while shooting 38.6% from beyond the arc.

The Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies are currently 1-1 in their second-round series. Stephen Curry is commonly accepted as the best player in the series, but it seems as though some disagree with that notion. Antoine Walker has recently claimed that Stephen Curry is the 3rd player best player in the series, behind Ja Morant and Jordan Poole.

Ja Morant, he’s the best player in the series… I think Steph is the 3rd best player in the series, when you talk about the best… I think it goes Ja Morant, Jordan Poole & then Steph Curry. Jordan Poole is the best player on the Warriors right now.

There is no doubt that this is a very controversial take, one that a lot of people will disagree with. Stephen Curry has performed admirably, and he’s definitely closer to being the best player in the series rather than being the third best. With that being said, in this series, in particular, there is an argument that Ja Morant has played better than Stephen Curry so far. Many believe that Ja Morant has a chance to be the next face of the league.

It remains to be seen who ends up winning the series. The Golden State Warriors were heavily favored going into the series, but the Memphis Grizzlies have shown that they will not go down without a fight. The Warriors will have their next two games in San Francisco though, so this is the perfect opportunity for them to gain an advantage in the series. Hopefully, Stephen Curry can lead the team to victory at home, and prove all the doubters wrong.
