Luka Doncic is, perhaps, one of the best and most talented young players in the game. And at just 22-years-old, he has emerged as the face and cornerstone of the Dallas Mavericks.

Unfortunately, recent developments with the team have caused some to question what kind of guy Doncic is behind the scenes. Brian Windhorst summed up those concerns rather brilliantly in an appearance on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas.

“I don’t know how many people are going to be excited to play with Luka (Doncic). I think Luka is, maybe, a difficult person,” Windhorst said, via Sportsnaut.com. “He’s a great player but when you watch the Mavericks play, he’s barking at the coach, he’s barking at his teammates, he’s barking at the officials. He’s always barking about something. He can really be an irritable guy.”

In just two years, Doncic is reported to have had issues with Rick CarlisleHaralabos Voulgaris, and even his own co-star, Kristaps Porzingis.

During games, he has challenged the head coach and frequently argues with officials.

Already, Doncic seems to have clashed quite a bit with important people around the franchise, and one has to wonder why that is.

Are the Mavs really in that deep a state of dysfunction, or is there more going on with Luka and his ability to build positive relationships with those around him?

Whatever the case, we’ll find out soon enough…
